Rules of Your Ride

These Terms & Conditions govern all transportation services provided by Otis Hackett Transport LLC. By booking, scheduling, or utilizing services offered by Otis Hackett Transport LLC, all passengers agree to comply with the policies outlined below. These policies are established to ensure safety, legal compliance, operational consistency, and a professional experience for both passengers and drivers.

Purpose

This section establishes the foundational terms under which Otis Hackett Transport LLC operates and provides transportation services.

Service Scope

Otis Hackett Transport LLC provides pre-scheduled, private transportation services, including but not limited to airport transportation, local travel, non-emergency medical transportation, and event or group transportation. All services are subject to availability and confirmation.

Acceptance of Terms

By requesting or accepting service, passengers agree to these Terms and Conditions in full. Failure to comply may result in refusal or termination of service.

Right to Refuse or Terminate Service

Otis Hackett Transport LLC reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service at any time if a passenger fails to comply with these Terms and Conditions, applicable laws, or driver instructions. No refunds will be issued for trips terminated due to policy violations or misconduct.

Policy Updates

These Terms and Conditions may be updated at any time without prior notice. Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of the most current version.

Purpose

This policy ensures a safe, respectful, and professional environment inside company vehicles.

Passenger Conduct

Passengers are expected to behave in a lawful, respectful, and non-disruptive manner at all times. Prohibited behavior includes, but is not limited to:

  • Aggressive, abusive, or threatening conduct

  • Harassment of drivers or other passengers

  • Distracting the driver while the vehicle is in motion

  • Illegal activity

  • Violation of any stated policy

Vehicle Care and Cleanliness

Passengers are responsible for maintaining reasonable cleanliness during transport.

Cleanup Fees

Cleanup fees may be assessed for:

  • Food or beverage spills

  • Vomiting or bodily fluids

  • Excessive dirt, mud, sand, or debris

  • Damage to upholstery, flooring, or interior surfaces

Cleanup fees are determined based on the severity of the issue and any vehicle downtime required for professional cleaning or repair.

Enforcement

Otis Hackett Transport LLC reserves the right to terminate service due to misconduct or excessive damage. No refunds will be issued in such cases.

Purpose

This policy is in place to protect scheduling integrity, driver availability, and the overall quality of service provided to all customers.

Cancellations and No-Shows

We understand that plans can change, and we do our best to be fair while also accounting for the time and preparation that goes into each trip.

  • Cancellations made one week or more in advance will receive a full refund

  • Cancellations made at least 3 days in advance will incur a $25 fee

  • Cancellations made within 48 hours of the trip will incur a $100 fee

  • No-shows will be charged the full cost of the trip

Failure to appear at the agreed pickup location at the scheduled time may be considered a no-show.

When a ride is scheduled, we reserve a vehicle, assign a driver, and adjust our schedule to accommodate your trip. Vehicles are cleaned and prepared in advance, which is why late cancellations and no-shows carry higher fees.

Wait Time

Additional wait time beyond the scheduled pickup may result in added charges.

All-day wait services must be arranged in advance.

Wait time fees may apply for medical appointments, events, or multi-stop trips.

Delays Beyond Company Control

Otis Hackett Transport LLC is not responsible for delays caused by traffic, weather, accidents, road closures, or other circumstances beyond its control.

Purpose

This policy exists to ensure passenger and driver safety, legal compliance, and operational integrity.

Alcohol – Prohibition of Open Containers

Otis Hackett Transport LLC strictly prohibits the presence of open alcohol containers in any vehicle at any time. Company vehicles are not equipped with barriers separating the driver’s compartment from the passenger compartment, making the transportation of open alcohol containers illegal under applicable laws.

Policy Guidelines

  • Open alcohol containers, including bottles, cans, or any container that has been opened or contains alcohol, are strictly prohibited.

  • This prohibition applies regardless of whether alcohol is actively being consumed.

  • Passengers must dispose of open alcohol containers prior to entering the vehicle.

  • Closed, factory-sealed alcohol containers may be transported only if they remain unopened during the entire trip.

  • Drivers are required to verify compliance prior to departure.

Smoking, Vaping, and Tobacco Use

Smoking, vaping, and the use of tobacco products are strictly prohibited in all Otis Hackett Transport LLC vehicles.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Cigarettes

  • Cigars

  • Pipes

  • E-cigarettes and vaping devices

  • Smokeless tobacco products

Enforcement

Violation of this policy may result in immediate termination of service without refund and may result in cleanup or deodorization fees.

Purpose

To ensure vehicle cleanliness, passenger safety, and driver comfort while accommodating a variety of travel needs.

Animals and Pets Policy

Pets and animals are generally permitted in Otis Hackett Transport vehicles with proper precautions.

  • All non-service animals must remain in a secure carrier for the duration of the ride

  • Service animals, as defined by applicable law, are permitted without restriction

  • Advance notice is recommended when traveling with an animal

Passengers are responsible for any damage, excessive hair, odors, or cleaning required as a result of transporting animals.

Failure to properly contain an animal may result in refusal of service or additional cleaning fees.

Minor Passenger Policy

Otis Hackett Transport can provide transportation for passengers under the age of 18 with proper authorization.

  • A signed waiver from a parent or legal guardian is required prior to the trip

  • Waivers must be completed and approved before scheduling is finalized

  • Drivers will follow all safety and communication procedures outlined for minor travel

This service is especially helpful for families and for assisting international or out-of-area students traveling to and from airports, schools, and universities.

Enforcement

Failure to comply with these policies may result in refusal of service or additional fees where applicable.

Purpose

This policy clarifies responsibility related to personal belongings and travel outcomes.

Personal Property

Passengers are solely responsible for their personal belongings. Otis Hackett Transport LLC is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items left in vehicles.

Missed Flights or Appointments

Otis Hackett Transport LLC is not responsible for missed flights, appointments, or connections due to circumstances beyond company control.

Inspection Upon Exit

Passengers are encouraged to verify all belongings before exiting the vehicle.
